Alvis restoration

Alvis PortfolioI have reupholstered Alvis car interiors to their original factory conditions, specifically their post WWII saloons and drophead coupes.

Most popular include the Alvis TA-14, TB-14, TA-21, TB-21, and TC-21.

I have earned an outstanding reputation for my custom upholstery skills on classic British cars like the Alvis, but the majority of my auto upholstery services revolve around classic Jaguar restoration roadsters, coupes, and sedans.

My full interior Alvis restorations have included reupholstering all interior parts to their original design and color specifications, like seats, dashboards, steering wheels, consoles, headliners, carpets, door panels, and trunks. I only use the finest leathers and fabrics in the world to restore a Alvis interior to the same, or better, condition than the factory original.

1948 Alvis TA-14 DHC restoration

In the late 1990s I completed the full interior restoration of this post war Alvis TA. This job took me nearly 2 months to finish because I had to custom fabricate the original top. My customer loved the ocean blue and swan white colors.

It's been a long time since I reupholstered this Alvis drophead coupe, so I can't remember if it was the TA-14 (1946-1950) or TA-21 (1950-1953). I think it was a 1948 Alvis TA-14 DHC from Tickford.

Nonetheless, the post war Alvis models were solid, reliable and attractive cars in Britain. However, I still believe the best Alvis cars were their sporting models before WWII, like the Speed 20 (1932-1936).
